Contacts
Each acquisition must be associated with at least one contact. Use the + Add button in the Contact List section of the the Edit Proposal / Acquisition Record form to add a new contact to an acquisition. Click on the contact name in the Edit Proposal / Acquisition Record form or in the Contacts section of the Acquisition Summary to edit an existing contact. By default, every new acquisition has a stub acquisition contact, which should be updated with the contact’s information. The following fields constitute a contact:
Designation
required, single controlled value
Select Individual or Institution/Company.
First Name / Last Name
required for Designation = Individual, single free text values
Individual contact’s first name and last name.
Business Name
required for Designation = Institution/Company, single free text value
Name of the company or other entity, this field is optional for individual contacts.
Roles
required, multiple controlled value
Select one or multiple checkboxes from the list of roles that apply to the individual or institution: Owner, Signer, Representative, Contact. Unless the aquisition agreement type is “Invoice only,” the acquisition requires an owner and a signer.
Phone / Email
required, single free text values
Phone number of contact starting with area code and contact’s email.
Street / City / State / Zip
required, free text values
Contact’s street address, city, state, and zip code.
Country
optional, free text value
Contact’s country.
Notes
optional, free text value
Any notes or additional information pertaining to the contact.
